Alex Penney, aka Pendamental, is a DJ, producer and spatial sound artist whose work is simultaneously grounded and galactic. Founder of The Funk Bazaar, resident at the Bayside Lounge, and member of the Body Shop collective, Penney draws inspiration from funky beats, earthy textures, and feel-good dance music.

Pendamental's debut album “Two Days in Time” was released in 2022 and features some of the brightest artists from the west coast. With festival appearances at Samsara, Mogul Smoker, Mother Cloud, and Sound Space, a residency at the Bayside Lounge, and a Bside Radio show called Funk Bazaar, Penney continues to push the boundaries of eclectic music from around the world, always with the main focus of having fun.
